Building 1320 Arlington Business Park

The concept for Building 1320 was a ground-breaking design for the park of an entirely exposed structure and services concept. Installed across three floors in a 20,000 sq. ft. property this required great attention to detail. Careful and close co-ordination was required between the new M&E services and the building structure.

Completely remodelled and refurbished core areas were created including a new lift. The building was given an impressive new entrance experience with a front elevation double storey height glazed extension as a ‘window’ into the property. The concept and execution were a great success, winning a national award from the Office Agents Society.

We were delighted with the end product delivered by Vernier for Building 1320 at Arlington Business Park. The vision for 1320 was unique for both the business park and out of town Reading more widely. In designing a building with fully exposed structure and services, we recognised selecting the right contractor was critically important and the choice of Vernier certainly proved to be the right one given the great success of the project.

The extension and refurbishment of Building 1320 was a complex project to get right; on a constrained site, involving new build aspects and a comprehensive interior refurbishment. The results speak for themselves with the award-winning building fully let within six months of practical completion and at a record rent for Arlington Business Park.
