Waterfront Building, Manbre Wharf, Hammersmith

Vernier were challenged to fully refurbish vacated office space and return it back to an attractive lettable ‘up to date’ office space fit for any future occupant. The bathrooms required considerable attention to the point, re-imagining the design from scratch was required. A bookable meeting hub was also requested as an extra offering to the occupants of the building.

The meeting hub’s interior design concept formed part of the transition to Manbre Wharf. The new branding of the building which is derived from being on the original site of Manbre & Garton sugar refinery forms part of an ongoing comprehensive redevelopment programme, creating a workplace fit for 21st century businesses.

Rustic industrial elements were introduced through exposed ceiling features, mesh panelling, flooring finishes, furniture selection and crittall style partitioning.

The refurbished open plan areas and suites ranged from 9,100 to 25,542 sq ft, providing modern open plan offices creating an environment where people work in oasis of calm and creativity.

The bathroom refurbishment was a complex full scale re-design featuring beautiful huckleberry oak plank doors, edged in black powder coated trim, gold glass IPS panelling, contemporary led pendant lights, industrial steam punk feature lighting, striking black fittings and ironmongery, sensor taps with inset sinks on corian worktops.

Starting on the 3rd floor, the refurbishment was received so well that the floor was soon let and the same template has been rolled out to other floors when made available for their refurbishment.
